Basel is on the Rhine River and the old city is rather fascinating . When staying in Basel you get a unique travel pass on all public transport and discounts to places of interest
We visited 2 museums...both very different
It has a great tram system and we made use of that.... still finding food a very expensive experience. We need to look around a bit to see what fits the budget.
Our second day was spent visiting another small Rhine river town
