BRIG... GREAT LITTLE TOWN IN THE ALPS

After a good nights sleep at the "new hotel" near the GENOA Train station we did the 4.5 hr train ride to BRIG requiring a quick change of train in Milano. All went smoothly .By 1.30PM we arrived, we were lucky to have some locals in Brig take us under their wing and show us to our hotel,....The hotel is  bright, clean and quiet.
We have 2 nights here on a DBD basis and given the cost of Sandies Mothers Day ( late lunch ) it could be good value... We dined at lunch time on soup, bread and beer for the boss, me ,lucky to get a bowl of soup, spaghetti bolognaise and beer for 50 odd dollars ..the Swiss know how to charge.
We walked around town after lunch, and look in the magnificent mountain setting
Its a quaint town with a fast flowing small river, a castle, church and some interesting timber building.Everything is clean and neat , houses have lovely gardens. But 2 nights will be enough here. Tomorrow we can do an exciting mountain train ride  to a town 1.5 hours away and back.
The train  trip today through the mountains was fantastic, high like I hadn't seen before, the town appears to be in a valley so the mountains look extra high We also travelled along one of the largest lakes in the Alps on our way here and we revisit this lake later in the trip.
